That was fucking AWESOME!!!!
I remember seeing that the first time it was on. Hilarious!
Seeing him perform live was a tremendous experience!

@Livinlife It was an experience to be sure!!! I saw him perform at a Ramada Inn in Toledo, Ohio, in the mid-80s.
There was some sort of convention being held there that weekend, and the room was packed.
I had a straight sight-line to this old guy across the room from me. As the show went on, and Sam did his thing, getting raunchier and raunchier, I could see this man getting more and more angry.
You couldn't miss it. His body language was screaming that he didn't like what he was hearing.
Finally, after about 20 minutes in, he'd gotten up and left.
I laughed my ass off at both him and Sam's show.
