@zorialoki At first I thought it was a joke. I mean as like someone pulling a prank. 7 +5 =10. My friends daughter had a take home math test. We knew it was twelve. Stumping business owners that do their own accounting? Couldn't figure it out.

@TheGreatShadow I have seen some of the "new math" that people are learning to be teachers and it only confused the fuck out of me. Why not spend the time and teach them something that works or get a math tutor?

@zorialoki I understand what they are trying to say, but kids that think 12=10 is bullshit. If I borrowed $5 from you, then borrowed $7, I'd owe you only $10. I've been doing math like that in my head for years. 5+5=10, then add 2. But I know the answer isn't 10, it's 12! It's gonna confuse a lot of kids.

@TheGreatShadow I have run businesses and could calculate to the nearest dime in my head and then needed to get the actual tax amount of a calculator or chart. I know what you are talking about.

@zorialoki 10-4! I managed 4 farms and a trucking company. Come tax time I double check with a calculator. Gotta make sure everything is correct. However my tax guys rounded off to the dollar.

@TheGreatShadow So do I when adding in my head, then recalculate the change I over or under charged
