Been there. I had a period where ideal volume was when I could see the front windshield shake.

It distorts all brain functions if you ask me! ?

Me too! One time my car slipped out of gear and I couldn't start the engine and the first thing I did was turn the radio down.

@Kojaksmom saving on battery power that might be needed for the starter motor.

They've designed radios to not turn on with student drivers in the car. It really is a distraction. lol
