The idiots who showed up at my door today told me they were "volunteering" in the neighborhood. That was the first time I've heard someone use that word for proselytizing. I always think I want to engage them, ask them to explain the whole sordid Jesus story to me, at length, and make them explain the most absurd parts repeatedly, but when they do arrive at my door I say the same thing as always: "thanks, no, I'm an atheist. Have a nice day." I got no time for that nonsense. If I'm grouchy it's because of these jackasses ringing my damn bell and lying about why they're there.

I work at a university. Supposedly liberal minded and well educated. My workstation is across the street from the campus Catholic church. (WTF?? Right?). So somebody hands out new testaments on spring days. I always take as many as they will give me and throw them in the dumpster. Ome day, somebody had brought them into work and left a half dozen on the counter. I threw them in the trash. A girl I work with, who used to be cool said: "Don't be mean!".
So I replied "I'm not. I don't believe in myths. I'm an atheist."
She still says hello, but that's about it. Oh well. No loss.

It is amazing just how full of shit these folks are that believe any of this. We Atheists are godless, not anti social, well unless we don't feel much like peopling which does happen on occasion because of assholes like Mr. Gruff. Who needs that negative shit anyways!

I'm usually only grumpy when someone judges me for not fitting in their box! Otherwise, quite happy and optimistic, thank you very much! Lol

Yeah, most christians have no idea I'm an atheist. They only know after they've been told. That's when I usually hear, "but you're so nice!" LOL

It's interesting, because most people that meet me would never assume I'm an atheist by my actions. I'm a very kind and loving person... At least most the time.

Well, someone made it up... That phrase continues to bother me, it discounts our creativity... Lol
