That is basically the MO of most religions. My god is real and says just what I want. Your god must prove itself in the real world. Do what I say, not what I do.
BTW, It is a lot easier to “predict” the “future” after the fact. The OT predictions were made after about 700 BCE, the NT predictions were made 300-400 years CE. Long after the mythological events would have happened (had they really happened).
