Love cats and dogs both. Have to enjoy other people’s pets for right now. (And my house is very clean lately with no furry animals in it.)
I think about 'clean house' vs no pets every time I sweep my floors or stare at the sand over it... sigh
You will never see a dozen cats pulling a sled through the snow. Does this mean they're smarter?
Like them both for their different personalities & behaviors. It also sort of depends on life situation. Cats need, as a rule, less "care", so if you go out a lot or travel on weekends, they get by. Not so with dogs, & they tend to be much "needier".
Your cat won't need to be put on a leash twice a day because it's not house trained.
Show a cat a litter box and it knows what to do.
