I had no real issues about Obamacare except for the part that if a person didn't have health insurance, they HAD to have Obamacare. It should've been optional. What does a twentysomething need with health insurance when they never go to a doctor.
@altschmerz I never had to use it, but it seems to me that it was an ok stopgap measure while looking for a job and getting the insurance through the employer.
@RobertMartin, as maligned as it has been, it has helped many. I've been self employed for 17 years, before ACA I didn't have any health insurance. It was simply way too expensive....I'd get quotes starting around $500 a month and those had huge deductibles. With ACA, those same plans were around $100 a month with low deductibles. Are there flaws? Absolutely, but it is still better than anything before or anything the GOP has proposed.
Obamacare put me shop out of business. I guess somebody benefitted. It wasn’t me.
