True story:

I hung a five hook coat hanger next to front door. Theory was we would come in out of the cold and put a coat on it. When we went out, we would take the same coat.

Petunia wouldn't take her coat off the hanger. Instead she kept adding to the coat hanger until my coat vanished under about 45 coats. Two months ago, the weight of the coats ripped the hanger off the two wood screws that fastened it to the wall.

Currently all the coats are piled up on a love seat next to the front door. It's going up to 97F (36c) today. She's waiting for me to put the hanger back on the wall. I'm waiting until December to donate the coats to charity. Who needs 45 winter coats anyway?

@WonderWartHog99 today I tried selling some of my "good quality" sweaters to a fashionable consignment store (Plato's closet). I usually donate or give it to friends and others in need. But this time I thought I could make some extra money on nice looking sweater and other stuff.
Guess what?
They rejected every single piece of my 35 items. I was so disappointed and it truly proved me that
1: I shouldn't spend time doing this and just go ahead and donate it all;
2: I am definitely not on top of fashion and my stuff is not desirable.

@Zoohome South Florida? Sweaters? Might be they have a backlog of sweaters and don't want to buy any more. How many sweaters will they need in a state already feeling global warming?

Yard sale might work better for generating spare change. Used clothes don't sell well. If you pile up a table and put up a sign that says "$5 for all the clothes you can carry" you might do better. Mechanics need clothes they can cut up as cleaning rags.

Yeah, garage sale is also a long day. Maybe...
But good idea about the $5 all you can carry.
Yes, the store had an overstock until school starts. Still, my stuff is not on current fashion. Lol
