@Robecology That has baffled me too!! I can understand (but don't approve of) being forced into a religion and being brainwashed from an early age, can be hard to 'eacape'. But when a person becomes educated and learn to think for themselves and still don't even question it...
That, I may never understand.

@scurry As a 45 year retired teacher...I've been baffled repeatedly by the religious.They hold fast against evolution. They hold fast to their myths. It's sobering and sad how many Americans are stuck in this naive POV.

When I was in 7th grade I had school dip shit pull a knife on me. Rather than let him debone me, I wrapped my jacket around my arm as a shield and took away his buck knife. Kicked his butt and went on to my next class. With students like that, I don't go to class reunions. Most of them didn't finish school.

Dip shit registered a complaint I had his knife. I got sent to principal's office. He told me to give the knife back. I lied massively and said I threw it away. I didn't tell him I was keeping it just in case the dip ship came at me again. He was willing to give the guy another chance to kill me.

That's when I realized what kind of turds ran the world.
