I would not be crushed. I like Thanksgiving better.
He's 58...just a little grey.
@Robecology Oh. Well, as someone who struggles with weight issues and spent my life with a family who fat-shames, I prefer to try putting less value on physical appearance for people I really don't have any personal investment in, like celebs.
@LisaFultonave I concur; it's wrong to fat shame...but so important to respect and support fitness.
We're in trouble as a nation....and I suspect it's a world issue as well....but. I only have a map of the growth of obesity in America. As a health teacher who's done research on the importance of keeping a close watch on weight...I'm abhorred at this dangerous unhealthy trend.
But how to bring attention to this without being labeled as a "fat-shamer"?
@Robecology well, I guess I just wanted to say that I don't base respect for others on their weight. If I care about someone, I'll do anything I can to encourage and support them in being healthy.
Respect, for me, is an earned state, a whole diff concept. Everyone gets common courtesy. Their actions and behaviors determine if I'll respect them or not. I guess I don't feel any driving need to point out that someone is overweight, particularly if it's some Hollywood celeb I don't even personally know.
