Funny you should ask. As a former COBOL programmer on main frame computers, a few days ago I was pondering the complexities of programming a computer to teach itself (AI), a project a close friend had taken on lately, and reminisced that I actually wrote JCL (job control language) to tell the computer how to use the Hollerith cards I was reading into it's memory. Like first grade Dick and Jane compared to the Iliad.I thought I was computer literate until my friend started telling me about his project and I finally realized I'm OLD and technology has passed me by. It's okay because I realized I am up to date enough to enjoy Fireball and not worry about technology. My 2020 project; I'm learning to use an abacus.
