Swearing is actually a sign of verbal superiority according to recent studies. Timothy Jay, a professor of psychology at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts has been studying swearing for more than four decades. He says new research indicates swearing is a sign of intelligence and it's also a sign of honesty.
Those that disagree are just Bible thumpers and control freaks.

Thanks for that! I completely allowed my child to swear all he wanted growing up, even in elementary school. I just reminded him that I didn't control the rules at school; his teachers did. He never once got in trouble for language, even though he cussed a storm at home at various stages of growing up.
BTW, he is doing great in college now.
I guess I am a fuckin fantasically shitty parent!
