Hero's with a gun need to remember one thing, and it's happened a few times, when the cops show up, and see someone with a gun, they're not going to say shit, they're just going to shoot you.
It's been a year since I started this group, I've gone on protests, created logo's, printed T-shirts, had no end of debates with the conservative group, and the pro gun group.
I'm no closer to finding common ground to work with than I was on day one.
There have been positive gains made on some local levels, but as long as Trump is in the Whitehouse, there is very little that can be done on a national level. What is going on with the NRA is encouraging, but I wouldn't count them out just yet.
More people are going to die, and there is absolutely nothing we can do about it. This group is different than most of the others, innocent people die here, and are going to continue to die.
Pro-gun people won't give up one bullet, they hold onto their guns with a tenacity like their guns were a member of their family.

Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.It does seem that way. Every other day I hear words from some brainwashed nutjob about people coming to take our guns away. I usually stop them with words to the effect of "please identify them and tell me who they are." They can't do it really but continue to say words. I've heard that gun confiscation crap since Obama and they said Obama was going to do it too. I never even heard the man hint at it myself.

Thank you for all that you do to try and reason with those who are unreasonable. I know it must be terribly depressing at times. I own a gun myself, I have a permit to have it but have never had to use it. Not against all guns, just the ones that are meant for our military, as I don't believe any civilian needs such a weapon of death to mow down dozens of people. I hope that one day people will value another human beings life more than a gun.

American gun culture is a religious cult.
I've been a gun owner and shooter since I was 16, so I'm not against gun ownership. What I'm against is unregulated gun ownership, open carry, and concealed carry with no permit. It's insanity.

I've owned several different kinds of guns, pistols, shotguns, 30-30s. The only reason I don't own one now is because past indiscretions prohibit it. I'm not anti gun, they have a purpose.
I currently have a 22 magnum pistol and my stepdad's 22 rifle. No time or desire to shoot these any longer but they are nice to have.
