No, I'm still pro gun rights, and since the pandemic I've observed quite a few left-leaning individuals purchase a firearm for the first time, which in turn makes me smile.

No. It is exactly in times of crisis that people need to maintain their humanity and decency.
Civilization occurs when individuals start working together cooperatively as opposed to individuals trying to survive competitively and resorting to violence.
People who own an arsenal of weapons are already living in a dystopian world within their own mind thereby bringing the downfall of a civilization.

Did Natural Selection have a reason for adding the virus to the mix?
@yvilletom Absolutely. The virus is natural and these sorts of pandemics have been a common occurrence throughout history. An, the usual human arrogance often seems at work here as it happens to other non-human species as well. Often, on islands (ours and one near Seattle Vashon/Maury) had an overpopulation with rabbits. About a year ago the ones here caught a disease and 90% were gone seemingly overnight. On Vashon the disease led to blindness. A local told me that this happens every 7 years or so. Our 'natural' proclivity to eat meat is at the root of this one and many others as well. If we stopped this practice and went on an all, plant-based, diet these pandemics would be far fewer.
My anti-gun violence stance is strong. As I wrote my profile:
I'm seeking an athletic, intelligent man with a great sense of humor who treats me with respect and kindness. Shared recreational activities are a bonding experience for couples. That's why I want a man who also loves hiking and who only shoots with a camera.
