I was talking to a senate member in a different about our gun problems, They didn't know much about it, so I went to Rural King and looked up, out of curiosity, a AR-15. In stock $599.99 That is just wrong I live in a small town 35,000. It's a pretty safe town we don't have a lot of trouble or murders, NOBODY in this town needs a AR-15. Truth be told nobody in this town needs a gun for protection, we don't have hardly any home invasions, you can walk down any street at any time of the day or night without any trouble. Hell we don't have car inspections, or city stickers, the only thing on my cars is the date sticker, and it's only on the rear plate. This is flat so you can't shoot rifles, only shotguns there are no bears, mountain lions, or wolves. I've seen a occasional fox and coyote that's it. No bikers or other gang violence. I can't think of a single thing in this town and surrounding area, that anybody would need a gun for protection against. there are not any towns within 30 or 40 miles in any direction. Nobody is going to come here and do anything violent. We have a popcorn festival every fall where we close downtown streets and put in amusement rides. It's open until 11pm and parents let their children go to it by themselves. Putting food on the table and target practice are the only legitimate reasons to own firearms here. You don't NEED a assault weapon for either one, but I can by one down the street for 600 bucks.
