Very interesting!

Got me thinking about the source of the floods mentioned.

Here’s a video about Glacial Lake Missoula, which was probably the source of most of the flooding that shaped this area.

You’re right - I tried to qualify my comment by saying “most of the flooding” - I’m not sure how much came from where.

I’m not much of a geologist, but having lived in the Bitterroot Valley, South of Missoula for 20 years, I had only a fleeting knowledge of Lake Missoula.
The scale of these floods is amazing!
It’s hard to imagine 60 mph water😳
