I'll welcome you by saying this...as I have for 45 years as a science teacher...
If you think scientifically, you're being a scientist.
It's not necessarily a paid position...
it's a way of thinking that demands proof, a clear process, repeatability, making comparisons with normal things (creating "controls) and applying the Scientific method...
Most, if not all agnostics are being Scientists.
