I hope that UU's become a lot more ethnically diverse. Right now, POC who are humanists, they feel caught between a rock and a hard place. They don't feel very comfortable in the black churches, or Latinos don't feel very comfortable in Catholic parishes ... but then they to to UU's or to atheist groups and they look over a big ocean of white faces. I hope this can change.

There are many new resources available to congregations open to change. That includes changes in music, leadership, and our anything goes attitude about kids running amok — ok maybe that’s just my congregation. But seriously, we need to do more than say BIPOC are welcome; we need to create a space for their voices and choices and cultures to be represented

In this climate I don't blame people of color for being wary of any organization or church except their own. UU's welcome all, but at my fellowship it is rare for people of color to attend and none are members although we are a small congregation.

There is no fixing UUs....they are what they always show up to be.....the one exception to this is WELCOMING CONGREGATIONS going out of their way to invite gays lesbians and non-binary marriages......but invite a black Atheist co-worker or neighbor to worship "diversity ?" As you can see not happening since Mayor Hubert Humphrey set the city on the road to desegregation in 1948
