The World/Earth seen from any direction from outer space is a disk. There is a good chance that the flat Earthers are correct. Point in fact. The human race has gone over the edge which is dynamically impossible if an object is globular or spherical. Oh hum, such a conundrum

I'm wondering if there is a connection between Kant's Critique of Pure Reason and the belief in a flat earth. What I mean is the idea that our brain gives us a representation of our universe that many people feel is fortunately an exact replica of what is out there. Some think our brains allow for a practical interaction with our surroundings that probably does not reflect reality. So our perception of reality might see things in one way and pictures from outer space see it another way.
