Kent was an extremely popular and successful Swedish band who chose this video as the way to announce their retirement in 2016...much to the surprise of many of their fans. Da Som Nu For Alltid. (Then As Now Forever) - Kent.
Well I suppose delightfully weird for 31st October.
Yes...I deliberately left it to post today.
@Marionville I do not remember celebrating Hallowe'en when I was in England. I left in 1974. I remember encountering it there in '89 when I wintered in the Cotswolds. Consequently, it really means little to me now. All Saints Day I certainly recall as being a big deal in CofE churches with the military parading banners. Glory be to killing and who cares about the commandment?
@rogerbenham As a child I used to duck for apples and play games, eat nuts and treacle scones. We also hollowed out turnips and cut eyes and a mouth and stuck a candle inside it, they were then put in the window to ward off evil spirits (supposedly). This was in the 1950s. The current trick n treating and visiting people’s homes and dressing up...and pumpkin lanterns, not turnip ones...has all came from America in more recent years.
