Here is a curio, one of the few times a German Band topped the UK chart
The song was written as an illustration of just how mindless pop music, especially punk was, by a German music professor, a joke that back fired amazingly
D da da by trio went to No.1 all over Europe in 1980 and made the writer millions.

I loved the constant a-ha as a comment. Mindless. Never heard this before. 99% of pop music is mindless.

I wouldn't say that it didn't prove the hypothisis. Quite the opposite.

And that Europe is full of stupid people?

@FrayedBear It reached Number 4 in the Australian charts and stayed there for 6 weeks too.

@LenHazell53 I wouldn't know & am surprised that it didn't make #1 other than there are some 200 ethnicities here. However 76% are white European of whom 56% are AngloCeltic.
How was the recording received in Greece & Italy - the next largest etnicity?

@LenHazell53 the country is full of stupid people - they particularly gravitate to occupations of government!

@FrayedBear In Italy it went to no.5, it did not chart in Greece.

The total absurdity of the music industry...and the gullibility of the buying public.
