Today I’m posting an Irish rock band Horslips who were very popular in the 70s. They are considered to be the original Celtic Rock Band. Barry Devlin, the frontman, vocalist and bass-player comes from Ardboe in Co,Tyrone ...one mile from my own home here. The band drew their inspiration largely from Irish mythology & folklore, and here they perform Dearg Doom which translates as “Red Destroyer” and refers to the warrior Cuchulainn, The Hound of Ulster. Please note the silver hand which alludes to Nuada Argentlam, who in Irish mythology lost his hand in battle but the gods restored it to him made out of silver.

I'm glad I have heard them play much softer.

They can play hard rock or softer....all depends on what the song demands.

Sounds good.

Yes...I really used to love them, and being local they were a big deal here.

@Marionville I'm sure.
