Im sure most of us already know that the origin of American Gospel, Jazz, Blues and Rock n Roll music is rooted in the “Negro” Spiritual or African American Slave music. I found this to be very interesting, it’s an excerpt from a PBS documentary - History Detectives Slave Songbook, which traces the development of Negro spirituals and cultural connections back to Africa.
