I’m moving most of you much closer to home today with a song called Ly O Lay Ale Loya (Circle Dance) which is a Native American song performed by Alborada. It conveys the stories, legends and plight of the Native Americans by combining chants of the Navajo, Pueblo and Sioux tribes along with Sami people ‘yoik’, along with synthesiser backings combined with traditional driving drumbeats. This is part of a musical project called “Sacred Spirits” to raise funds for the restoration of the rights of the Native American people.

I love wolves. For 23 years I shared land with a pack of wolves Sometimes they'd sing out and once over a 120 degree arc from my house. They send a member to check one out when one first arrives. (S)he'll sit on the edge of the forest watching for a few hours. I was watched, Jeannie was watched and one came to check when we married despite the hundred or so people camping overnight as we threw a music festival for our marriage.
The natives in this are very different from ours.
Technically the land belongs to the black bear and even longer the white tailed deer. Both of them have been here far longer than people. They survived, many went extinct.

They are certainly very beautiful animals.
The wolves on the west coast near me have an ancient relationship with man. As far as I know BC has never had a wolf attack people.
