Allie Sherlock is a young Irish busker who has gained global fame, especially after being featured as a guest on the Ellen Degeneres Show in the USA. Here she and her dad show us her pitch where she regularly sets up and sings in Grafton Street, Dublin. In the video which was made in December 2018 she performs a cover of Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah.

@Marionville Sadly, yes. My uncle David Webb of TCD had a few visits from me. And my middle brother I visited whilst he took his first degree there. Grafton street was very romantic!
Very, very interesting video. I assume that is the main Downton Dublin area. Nice to have the names of different entertainers in subtitles. And amazing young singer, Allie.

It’s the top shopping street…where the upmarket labels are…Dublin is pretty big, it’s not actually the real central street which is O’Connell Street which has a bridge over the river Liffey and the central point is the GPO, where the Irish Rising started in 1916.

@Ray13 Yes…I like to go down to Dublin by train for a weekend sometimes…shopping and a show is usually on the agenda.
