Today I’m bringing you something a little different, from Capetown in South. Africa, which because of its position at the tip of Africa on the main sea route between Europe and Asia has attracted migrants from both continents over the centuries and many sizeable ethnic communities have made it their home…for instance a Malay community. Here the male voice choir - The Young Malay Men Voice sing a selection from their repertoire.

It is believed that they came in primitive vessels hugging the shores all the way from Malaya, no doubt losing people along the line. Presumably escaping war at their homes. They really are the true originals in Cape Province. The British landed there and slowly moved North meeting the Zulus coming South to escape drought.
