Jacques Brel was a Belgian singer/songwriter, actor and director of musical theatre, who was very popular during the 1960s & 70s, initially in France and Belgium and then throughout the world. He is still the Belgian recording artist with the third highest record sales and he’s been dead since 1978. His best known song is this one….Ne Me Quitte Pas - or known in English as “If You Go Away”.

@Redheadedgammy Yes…it’s been sung in English by many other artists, but its nice to hear the original.
@Marionville I’ve heard it sung in English, but think it’s much richer and nicer in French.
