In the picture she does have a "Khomus" They have nothing to do with Jews. They were invented in Northern China sometime before the 3rd century and spread widely. They were chiefly popular with the common folk as a musical instrument because they were cheap, easy to carry, and one could learn to knock out a tune on one fairly quickly. President Lincoln often carried one that he played. However, they can be played with considerable skill. They sre stoll a popular instrument among the peoples of the steppes.
