Though not a hit in the USA, American Country singer/songwriter Jimmie Rogers had a hit with this song in the U.K. and Canada in 1962…perhaps unsurprising, because of its title….English Country Garden.

@Marionville I thought about that after I posted. 15 is the answer. So, I could not have known it earlier but I thought it was originally by Percy Grainger.
@rogerbenham Yes…the tune was composed earlier than that by Percy Grainger….not the words of the song though. You knew the instrumental version from childhood…that’s true.
