I don’t know if any of you know the incredible story of Rodriguez - full name Sixto Diaz Rodriguez, who is a Mexican American singer born in Detroit in 1942. He found little fame at home in the USA but unbeknown even to himself..he was a roaring success in Africa, South Africa in particular, where his records sold in their millions, reputedly selling more records there than Elvis!… and also in Australia & New Zealand. There was an award winning documentary film made about him called Searching For Sugarman. In the 1990s when he found out how popular he was in South Africa he went on tour there…
