I’ve loved John Denver’s Annie’s Song since I first heard it in the mid 1970’s and for many years included it in my own repertoire when I performed. When I heard Finnish rock star Ville Valo sing it in Finnish I just knew I had to put it on one of my favourites play-lists…

It's a beautiful song in any language. Thanks for sharing Marji. I loved this.

Glad you love it too Rhonda…

I've always liked the song as well, and wish I could hear you sing it. (^.^) I really like the richness and depth Ville Valo brings to his version.

I did have a tape recording of me in concert singing this and about 5 other songs …dating from around 1981…but I’ve no idea where it is now! My voice was probably at its peak around then as I’d have been about 36 then…alas the voice suffers a bit as it ages.

@Marionville Sadly, it does, but I'm sure you're harder on yourself than we could ever be, and I'll hold on to the hope that the tape pops up somewhere because that would be really cool!

Good job, & I like the different language for it.
