They say music heals wounds and salves the soul…and In 1991when Norway was shocked at the brutal rape and murder of two schoolgirls in Grimstad, a town in the south of the country, a-ha gave a benefit concert in their memory for the local community to raise money for equipment for the local hospital at the wishes of the parents of the girls. Ten years later a-ha were again asked to perform at the official memorial in Oslo for the victims of the 2011 attack by right-wing terrorist Anders Breivik who killed 77 young people at a summer camp on Utoya island. On both occasions one of the songs a-ha included in their programme was Stay On These Roads…so I’m including both times…

Yes…they are great humanitarians…all three of them.
He is OK when he is gentle like this. I listened to both versions.

It’s a gentle ballad…it calls for a different style when he sings rock..more grit in the voice and greater power & volume. He can sing in a variety of different styles and range.
