A couple of days ago I posted the Norwegian music trio Bel Canto and here they are again, this time not singing in English but German. Anneli Drecker is actually half German, but the song is based on Danish author Hans Christian Anderson’s tale, The Story of a Mother - Die Geschichte Einer Mutter.

Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.Interesting oompahs throughout implying a journey perhaps but then it got quite mysterious with an oboe not quite an oboe leading it somewhere else. Most unusual piece.

Yes...some of it was really beautiful I thought, but not quite coherent with other more dissonant parts. I love her voice though, and that’s really why I listen to her, solo and in collaboration,
