Absolutely. The bible actually advocates for slavery! In one passage god supposedly proclaims the following: If you give a male slave a wife (Women in this are strictly objects to be passed around, etc., as usual.), and this slave has a family with her (the wife whom he was given)... then, whenever his indentured time is up, if he wishes to keep this wife/family, he must remain your slave forever. It's that or lose the wife/family. Nice trick!! Right? What a wonderful, benevolent god, eh? Like that shit wasn't written by a greedy, screwball bigot, but rather by "god"! Oh, and if you point out this outrageous hypocrisy they'll tell you some crap like god works in mysterious ways and that the holy spirit told them this!
Posted by CliffordCookI groaned when I saw this Christian Nationalist Christmas meme posted by one of Donald Trump's supporters in Iowa. Then, I smiled when I saw how many of his Facebook friends had reposted it.
