During Trump's time, during Covid and when Australia had a psycho PM eg making himself minister for everything on the sly not even informing parliament, Australia entered a defense agreement with the UK and USA. This was done in secret and while both the US and UK were torturing one of our citizens; Julian Assange. In the deal, Australia gets nuclear subs in forty years. Meanwhile, the US and UK get to use Australia as a staging area, siting military assets here. Another garrison outpost for the empire. In short, Australia surrendered its sovereignty and allowed foreign military to base here permanently. We got sold out.
So Australia is rather important to these two genocide enabling countries. If we had balls, backbone and morals, we could stop it quickly. Antartica will be important in the future and as the imperial Japanese said, to control the Pacific you must control Australia. This is why I firmly believe Australia could stop the slaughter. Mind you if we pulled out of AUKUS, we may experience American freedom.
I suspect that one of the problems lies in the fact that all the players who matter have controlling secrets that the party whips use to keep them in line. If the whips have the information to keep them in line then you can be sure that the corrupt CIA, MI6 equally have it to keep them in line.

Trump's full of shit and can't trust anything he says. But he is threatening to 1) declassify a lot of stuff and 2) Get rid of many career agency heads, ones who are political. He's scares them because they cannot control/ threaten him and he might do what he says. The Bush family would have a collective heart attack. Chenny, Rice and Pompeo are shitting bricks. Hillary Clinton, another psycho, is afraid Trump will do what she would do.
