If possible, give Woolworths a big miss. I shop at Drakes, a family owned SA company. IGA another good alternative. Independant grocers and butchers even better

It is common knowledge that if you won division one of the lotto, you would be able to buy your groceries at out local IGA for 2 weeks before you are flat broke again.the quality of their groceries is pretty average too.

I used to live Kangaroo Island which was shocking expensive. Used to work out of Moomba and driving to the rig once I passed Innamincka, stopping for my mandatory beer (we were banned from there but I refused to drive through the desert and pass a pub without stopping. I am Aussie after all, used to hide the car round the back) and they were selling petrol cheaper than on the island. Work that one out.
