Scott Morrison's claim to be 'on God's side' is fraught with danger | Geoff Thompson

Oh great, we now have a PM God botherer with God on his side, and his religion is off limits, apparently, though he yaps on about it all the time.
Keep buying lottery tickets Dave, and hope to expatriate back in Thailand away from this foolish country.
it is interesting that Australia only produced one atheist GG since federation.
well ... he is on the losing side ...
How sweet the highlighting of Morrison's words used in his inauguration speech - "After quoting Lincoln, he invoked the South African archbishop Desmond Tutu to sketch his vision of what it means to be on God’s side. Tutu’s words were presented as his benchmark: “We expect Christians ... to be those who stand up for the truth, to stand up for justice, to stand on the side of the poor and the hungry, the homeless and the naked.” Of course, it is exactly these words that have been thrown back at Morrison.
It is just as important that Morrison stay alert to the way his chosen language of being “on God’s side”, benign though it seems, is fraught with danger, not least when employed in the partisan, adversarial world of Australian politics."
How htpocrital it has now been proven they are.
@David1955 I remember seeing a few years back that a disability pensioner satisfactorily proved to the review tribunal in Darwin that living on the pension 5 months in Cambodia, 1 month in Australia, 5 months in Thailand, 1 month in Australia not only saved him money and improved his standard of living but also saved Australia money.
A full psychiatric assessment should be mandantory for those wanting to enter politics.
@MsDemeanour That's like asking the foxes to stop guarding the chickens. ?
I was thinking about the comparison of our nearest neighbour. NZ have always been far more progressive in many ways. If you need to go to Thailand, perhaps I could go to NZ.
It is frightening. And for women who make up 51% of Aust's population, the liberals mysoginist record is frightening. But give us a chance Dave. It's not like the people voted for this creep. I've never liked Bill Shorten, but it's a given he will be in power in 9 months. Did you see ScoMo asking us to 'pray for the farmers'? I sincerely hope he doesn't base all his policies on prayer.
