As I have stated occasionally, in 2016 I personally encountered many who changed party affilliation to vote for Sanders. Republicans and independents nationwide. After the shit show the democrats put out with their display of fake democracy many of those people went back to their party or stayed home.
A people in dire times can be lead astray by an artful minion. And there's large pockets of these people who have been ripely conditioned by some clever groups who are made up of people as such in these unions.
