Obama also didn't have a horrific history of nearly 5 decades that voters totally ignored in respect to Biden. Or 2 horrific decades in respect to Harris. Which such history's were easily accessible to find for voters with the information people like us provided as fair warning. Obama was afforded a false managed perception by the media due to his relative newness by the media and the 2 party establishment. In which they hid much of his donor class which one was a major war hawk corporate owner with large concerns in keeping the Middle East wars going.

@Piece2YourPuzzle I agree and that really nails what I hate about identity politics. It uses stereotypes to con people into believing a candidate will act and govern a certain way if they get elected. In the case of Obama, it was the assumption that because he was black, and therefore assumed to be empathetic and sympathetic to the plight of colored people and poor people, would do the right thing for them if elected prez. What fans of identity politics don't get is that traitors and sellouts come in all colors, genders, and sexual orientations. Just because someone shares their group's hobbies, image, and identity on the superficial or skin level, tells you nothing about their real values or allegiances regarding class or politics.

I don't care if the candidate is a green-skinned trisexual alien-human hybrid, what matters is their real values, whether their record matches their rhetoric, whether they can be or have already been bought, who pulls their strings behind the scenes, and whether their policies match mine. All this crap about the candidate's identity stuff is irrelevant to the intelligent, informed voter.
