Top Ukrainian ‘fact-checker’ arrested for assault on Grayzone contributor

Marko Suprun, an influential NATO state-funded Ukrainian ‘fact-checker’ with close ties to Nazi activists, was taken into police custody in Washington, DC, after assaulting a contributor to The Grayzone at an event hosted by a neocon Beltway think tank.

The Ukrainian-Canadian host of a self-styled ‘anti-disinformation’ outfit — which receives thousands of dollars from the US and UK governments and works with Facebook to censor content — was arrested on Capitol Hill last week after assaulting a contributor to The Grayzone.

On April 16, Marko Suprun, who presents an English-language show for the group StopFake.org, and whose wife has served as Ukraine’s acting Minister of Health, was charged with simple assault after strangling, shoving, and stomping on Grayzone contributor Moss Robeson. The incident occurred during an anti-Russia event hosted by the neoconservative Jamestown Foundation, entitled “Russia’s Rupture and Western Policy.” Robeson was fully credentialed and authorized by organizers to participate in the discussion.

{Suprun’s organization, StopFake, publicly presents itself as a humble Kiev-based “nongovernmental organization” focused on fact-checking. Its stated goals include implementing “high standards of journalism education in Ukraine, raising the “level of media literacy,” and informing the public about “the danger of propaganda and dissemination of fake information in the media.” The group insists that it receives no government funds, stating flatly on its “About Us” page: “Stopfake.org is not supported financially or otherwise by any official Ukrainian organization or government agency.”

But the group’s claim of editorial independence is immediately contradicted by its own website, which admits just four sentences later that StopFake is “also supported by… the Foreign Ministry of the Czech Republic, [and] the Embassy of [the] United Kingdom.”

In fact, StopFake has received extensive funding from not only the British government but also the US-based National Endowment for Democracy, a CIA cutout that’s largely funded by Congress and the State Department.

StopFake was founded in 2014, but as a 2017 Politico report explained, “it was only after [the 2016] presidential election in the U.S. — when Russian fake news and cyberattacks were blamed for swaying the election in Donald Trump’s favor — that the site burst onto the global stage.”

“Almost overnight, the founders of StopFake went from provincial do-gooders to international media stars,” Politico marveled, while praising the group as “the ‘grand wizards’ of the fake-news-busting world.”}

Moss Robeson is the founder of the Bandera Lobby Blog which I have posted a few of his articles here. Bandera should be a well recognized name for all of you by now. If it isn't, you probably don't care what the facts are in Ukraine or what's going on in your own country. Any of you in any country. Because this network of fascist that Moss Robeson keeps track of for us while exposing their vast history and the negative correlation it has on our societies is a worldwide network that has more power over our representation than we do. Our tax dollars go towards funding what is a major growing fascist problem in our societies. Since WWll, they have become embedded into our representation and judicial systems. They have a large influence on our foreign and domestic policies. Which is a significant reason they continue to get government support and funding. Reagan began allowing them to infiltrate our judicial system during his era, according to what I read in the Blog. It's well detailed within Robeson's work. As is all his coverage. He operates much like The Grayzone does with providing the evidence within his work.

Politico? Nothing new from them. They give you just enough factual articles to hide the deceptions they're involved in from behind the curtain. They're given just enough rope to provide what the system wants to use to deceive us into believing they are a reputable news source.

Some of you might recall my claim that colonialism is the mother of fascism. When you lay them down beside each other you find a rather resembling mirroring construct. Well, I think it's now safe to say that the mother is dead and the baby has become fully grown and out on its own. The suckling off our societies is over and it's seemingly taking what ever it wants and needs right now. Gaza is the proof. And those that have the power to stop it are the very one's supporting and funding it. They've become the very criminals they told us we were fighting against. As if we weren't already drowning in enough blood of the world citizenship. Or sent enough of our families to die for it also. A century of wars built on deceiving facades, and we've become the fascist states the world must now deal with in which many of us were conned into believing we were fighting against. We as the westernized nations will inevitably become the worlds evil empire as their enemy.

There's no longer a way to deny it. If you do you're a fool still falling in the sea of their lies. It's so blatant now as to what it is that only those who support it will attempt to rhetoric it away. And they've reached a point that they can't stop it because it owns them. And there's only one outcome left if we don't. When the sea breaches its shoreline, the body's of our citizens will become like sandbags to save them from drowning within their new world war.
