It is an ugly mess and sad beyond measure. koch brothers, citizens united, trump, mcConnell, ryan, etc. etc. etc.

@William_Mary You do indeed live in a country fully controlled by money. Money is given to politicians who give it back 5 or 10 fold to their givers and so the circle goes on. Increasingly those at the poor end of the spectrum get poorer and the wealthier wealthier. It all leads to Feudalism. Actually in many ways the USA is a Feudal system except the slaves have no idea how they have been conquered.
