Is Social Media a Parasite on Society
Watching the Hawks had a discussion about social media last night that was quite interesting. I'm sure it will not surprise to many people here as the discussion leads towards a relative to being used as a tool against us. A weapon if I may. That's what I always seen it as anyways. A further means to spread perception management, conditioning, and narratives. We have a vast majority of the population who live in those 3 aspects it delivers for the benefit of the ruling class rather than using the internet to educate themselves on the information they are receiving.

If anyone has been following a certain thread from the other day you might get a sense of that from a certain member, who obviously lives in and by that sword. Trusting the very sources that have been proven time and time again to spread fake news or work against us, rather than seek or even step into another source that may turn that sword in another direction than onto their self.
If someone wants to bash my sources, I'm fine with that. But at least give me the respect to pick what you find trouble in believing with intellect and substance in sources. Using Google and The Guardian who have obvious past flaws will not work with me. The Guardian has been caught spreading fake news countless times. More and more here recently. Google works with our government in many aspects. That's obviously going to be questionable. Highly questionable alone with the way they use algorithms to control our content, leads only to perception management and conditioning. Surveillance, AI, corporate bias, agreements and contracts with them and the government. This is definitely not a sign towards a road of trust.
