Narrative--where's it going--quick response is usually the wrong response--time gives more information and research provides more accurate opinion development--never take the MSM and establishments information as fact, it usually comes with a false narrative and half truths.

Perception Management--first the CIA and then during the Reagan administration--programs to control what the public sees and hears in efforts to succumb the public to perpetual warring. Create a delusional reality via the media as a tool to capture them in compliance. This is when the term conspiracy theorist became a weapon as the CIA instructed the media to use it against anyone who showed any sign of dissent against their agenda and wars in South America. This is why today we see so many X intelligence agents and X military on the MSM news shows today. They are there to feed your brains with acceptance to the current warring going on around the planet. Both right and left leaning new sources are in compliance to this agenda as they are owned by merely 6 billionaires today. This is also why we seen 19 of these people in 2018 run for office during that election cycle. They are now attempting to infiltrate our political parties after 5 successful decades of turning the public numb to their agenda. These people know and support only brute force to make other countries fall in line with the westernized agenda. They have no room or respect for real diplomacy or social societies that interfere with their agenda. Often for resources and the profits of war under their collapsing capitalism. See above. Perception management is their capital to narratives and conditioning which has worked for them for over 5 decades now. It's the very thing that brought us Donald Trump. And I assure you, neither party gives a dam if Trump wins another 4 years as long as the ruling class keeps growing stronger as they indeed are.
We all have a tendency to get pulled into the first fold at times even though we're aware. Bernie Sanders did it to me in 2016. Never be afraid to admit when they get you though. Just reach out and pull yourself out and upright again! Speak out another day.

I feel lost in my attempt to find Real News. FSTV is so laid back that I often go to sleep with it, MSM gives us what they think we want to hear with an occasional "bite" of news. The I-net is so loaded with sites that it takes hours to go thru them to try to fit together the pieces of reporting into actual information. My life gets in the way, so I listen to what the news figures, not the talking heads, say and try to form my opinions based on the words out of their mouths.

I watch FSTV occasionally also. It provides some good shows but the quality in video really sucks at times. I would recommend RT again but I get the sense you have a problem with it because it's a Russian government run entity. My satellite company just increased my monthly billing and we're getting ready to go back to Spectrum 
again. They don't cover RT so I'm going to have to watch it on the internet now. If you have it I would highly suggest you give Rick Sanchez a chance! He does a nightly news show at 7 and a repeat an hour later. He's out of Florida and use to be an anchor for a local station in his area before going to RT. Their daily news coverage is pretty good also for world news. I think you might like Chris Hedges. Possibly, Watching the Hawks. America's Lawyer with Mike Papantonio. He does mainly corporate coverage on tax laws , environment issues, drug companies, anything our government lets them get away with.
@William_Mary I do have a problem with RT, but in the search for a semblance of truth, I will give it a try. I do not have Spectrum, just a basic Direct TV package.
@SiouxcitySue, @William_Mary the RT app on the Android phone does not use a great deal of download.
@FrayedBear I don't have a phone for that. I'd rather use my lap top at home anyways. Thanks for the information though! If my tablet was louder I'd put it on there though and listen while working. But I drive a semi and it is quite louder than my tablet speakers
@William_Mary blue tooth speakers any use? Or ear phones? Whoa the reason for low download cost is that the Android app is writing supplemented by video. . . Perhaps my usage comes up elsewhere.
@SiouxcitySue well truth can be either what you want it to be, or how you manage the information being delivered. I will argue most people, as we see who follow the establishment main stream media loyally, tend to show signs of, what they want it to be, accepting what they hear blissfully. No doubt you have a sense of what truth is to you. As a member here you've displayed relatively much the same knowledge and understanding of what a sense of truth is as to myself and most participating members here. Which is why I have suggested RT at times to you. For an example. As I drive for a living and I always listen to NPR all day. I often joke on here that I do so because it keeps me informed of what news is being main streamed for the day and to keep my bullshit meter calibrated. And then I can relate some of my post to that string of events. Being they and their independent talks shows mostly tend to follow the establishment line and MSM which goes against over 90% of the truth I have a sense for and believe. Which I think you'll find by watching RT. With RT you're going to get a completely different view than what you get on any MSM news source whether it's Fox, MSNBC, or CNN. Much of it will relate to what you see here in this group from the independent news sources I use and the more progressive people I follow. A totally different reality from American people, for the most part, who go against the establishment and MSM narratives they deliver. Which is why they are on RT! Because the establishment ruling class owned news corporations will not give them a place to voice their opinions in which they left or were forced out of.
btw--we also are on Direct TV basic. RT is on channel 321 here. I believe we have the basic anyways hmmmm Nothing special as far as paid channels.

@William_Mary I once suggested to a couple where the husband had a daily 3 -4 hour commute and the wife was a stay at home mother but degree qualified librarian, that she record for him all the important technical papers that he needed to read so that he could listen whilst commuting. Nowadays it is just as easy to convert writing on the computer or phone to the spoken word and vice versa.
I have a multilingual friend who is now about 95 yo. who watches the news in half a dozen languages from the country of origin. It is interesting what differing news he comes up with and the differing interpretations.
@William_Mary When I'm at home I listen to classical music thru the Direct TV music channels. BTW, I do have RT channel. When I am driving I listen to NPR or Sirius XM Classical Music, maybe some 50s rock or 90s C&W the change it up. I have to admit that although I find trump a disgusting piece of protoplasm, it has been his verbal spew and the MSM constant harping on it that actually got me started really listening and hearing what is being said over the airwaves. I think I've become paranoid about news outlets in cahoots with the . . . . whoever is really pulling the strings of our society. And I have become disillusioned about just about everything that I thought was a constant in my life. End of rant. For Frayed Bear - I have friends from Hungary who grew up behind the "Iron Curtain" that listen to international news on their TV. Unfortunately for me it's presented in either German or Polish and I'm ignorant in both languages, so when I visit them, they fill me in about what's being said in Europe about our 'news.' It ain't pretty.
