So for the 4th I only get it off. How do I go out to enjoy this holiday and be home to safely drive a vehicle that typically weighs around 80k the next day with little sleep.
Listening to NPR talk about how Trump is going to spend millions on over glorifying the military for this day also causes me to lose interest in this holiday.

A group of men stating in a document their intention to separate from a tyrannical sovereign and govern themselves vs a mob of dissatisfied people storming a prison for political prisoners which also held stores of gunpowder after having liberated a volume of guns from a hospital (the French stored things in strange places...) to free themselves from a tyrannical... in the end much the same.. both events lead to the deaths of many.

That's quite interesting. I see a number of places, along with several US cities, also celebrate a Bastille Day.
Me also on both points, I go right back to work the next day and I do not feel pride or love for my government right now, more embarrassment than anything else.

Yes 80,000 lbs. Depending on what size box I have on the trailer empty, I can be anywhere from about 48, 000 to around 55,000. Full of scrap steel I can be up to sometimes over 80,000. And thank you. It will just be another day I guess.
@William_Mary I was telling someone the other day that it just feels like "another day" too. Maybe it's a combination of what the U.S. is doing and my family all being scattered over 3 states. No more family BBQs for the 4th. Haven't had one for years.
@William_Mary Not if you you are not working! You can perhaps spend it doing something fun with Mary get the Hog out for a spin?
