Over 20 percent of homeless residents in Chicago are employed, with many holding a college degree
{Trump declared homelessness to be “disgraceful” and that he was “looking at it very seriously,” singling out Los Angeles and San Francisco. He went on to disparage victims of homelessness and blame them for their own fate, stating that “Some of them have mental problems and don’t even know that they’re living that way. They can’t do that. We cannot ruin our cities...We may intercede. We may do something to get the whole thing cleaned up.”}
While our metropolitan cities engage in gentrification causing these effects, Trump can get away with placing blame on those effected. Avoiding the whole effect of facts mentioning only the mentally ill aspect. And as in Chicago, the very democratic leaders in collaboration spearheaded the programs that pushed these people onto the streets or out of the city. A reoccurring issue around the nation. Take to mind also, many of these people are veterans that over the past 18 years fought in their Middle East wars to come home to this, after corporations made billions off their sacrifice. There's a whole another percentage of them to evaluate in this mess. The only part these politicians get right is that it's disgraceful. But their reality towards the disgraceful part is misdirected! Then that also comes with purpose if you see the problem as a whole as an agenda. And their solution for the problem.
{Trump’s fascistic threats to “intercede” to “clean up” cities’ homeless populations are a warning to the working class. If such plans are carried out, his administration could potentially throw thousands of homeless people into concentration camps like those used to detain migrant workers and their children who are seeking refuge from violence and poverty across the border.}
Imagine being one of these people who can't afford to live outside of the city who sleeps in their car to reduce their spending in travel and high rent. You're waken up one night due to the government receiving notice you're homeless, yet working, by this means can you now be sent off? This might bring a recollection of (then they came after me) to mind. I'm fairly certain as they round you up the first question isn't going to be, do you have a job. You're essentially going to be looked at as litter on their streets that the upper class don't want to see as you sleep close to your work place. So what's next? You move to sleeping in one of the many Chicago areas that have become breeding grounds for gangland nightly shootings. Putting yourself in the many aspects of danger that come with it. Robbed, beaten, shot, probably killed by someone with a ghost gun who will never be caught. Another issue unresolved in these metropolitan areas. I might say also on purpose.
Following reading your post and considering my response below I decided to try out a new app. Here is the result which has in the few hours since publishing gained some polite thumbs up.
This may be a lovely epistle, but the yellow on red hurt my eyes so much I was unable to read it. Sorry.
@SiouxcitySue wow, I did not realise that. Which should I tone down the red or the yellow? Do you find this copy easier to read?
@FrayedBear My limited understanding of colors is that yellow is one of the hardest colors for the human eye to experience. I personally would change the yellow to black or some other dark color. Thanks for the change. I believe the words in the statement, but don't know the attribution - source.

The politicians the world over have all forgotten the lessons of history - the French revolution, the Russian Revolution, WWII, Glasgow 1917, et al - housing is to afford citizens a safe place to dwell, to raise family and develop into active contributors to the wellbeing of the country. Housing is not to provide real estate agents, local councils, governments and financial institutions with make believe profit arising from artificially inflated house prices.
Sydney has/had a mayor like that. Then the State Premier got on the band wagon. You can read all about it on fbuk through the posts of a chap called Lanz Priestley based in Sydney.
I try to tell people this. If you really think this president and his supporters in government have your best interest at heart just remember I tried to warn you when they come for you.
There is a huge homeless problem in this country and then there are the huge number of working Americans one crisis away from homelessness.
The other response I get is, you're crazy, that would never happen.
We have 3rd world poverty levels in many states, most of them are in the southeast gopville and it's always their own fault. This flies in the face of every study ever done on this issue, sadly most of those studies are buried.
The homeless are probably the most forgotten demographic of this country. For someone to have a job and still be homeless is a crime against humanity. Even if you don't have a job and are homeless, the authorities treat them like a disease. That whole "pull yourself up by your bootstraps" crap is just that, crap. The richest country in the world does next to nothing to help other humans in need. I think the mentality that makes it the richest country in the world contributes to why they do next to nothing to solve the problem.
