You have people calling a warmonger in John McCain a great person now. There are people who have praised Obama. For what? Bombing 7 countries and killing innocent people with bombs from drones. He expanded draconian legislation in the Patriot Act and the NDAA. I have no hope in Americans to ever break free from that type of thinking. I don't know if they're just stupid or it's the propaganda they're falling for. It's probably a bit of both. You don't get more partisan than an American citizen when it comes to politics. The creepy thing though is that even some Democrat voters praise people like Bush and McCain now. More so McCain, but I've seen some talk good about Bush too.

@LetzGetReal I agree with everything you said, but I'm still not sold on "The Squad". There are elements of them that I like, but there are still elements that make me believe that they are just fine with the way the system is. I believe they like to give lip service while they, especially AOC, bow down to Democrat leadership which in turn is bowing down to corporate America. It might just be a matter of having no real power within the party and having to depend on the Democratic Party political apparatus to remain in office, but then what is the point? I'm also a registered Democrat to vote in the primaries, but I'm also not a dyed in the wool Democrat. I'm much more left wing than they are.
Short answer to a longish read - NO. Too much conservative media. The conservative media sees absolutely no room for any opinion other than theirs. IMHO conservative media that most people tune into to does more bashing of liberal or progressive views than it does promoting their point. Their view is always from a position of how bad, stupid or un American the other view or idea is. Again just my opinion from the times I tune in to the conservative view. It is always about constraining the little people and the rich/big corporate white world is under attack and the victim.
MHO of bush and everything he did after 911 was corrupt, un American and designed to instill fear as a means to control and take away American freedoms.
How many years since raygun ? It's been a long road.
