Patriot Act extension concealed in funding bill passed by House Democrats
On Tuesday, House Democrats overwhelmingly voted for a stop-gap government funding bill that includes an unannounced provision, buried in the legislation, averting the expiration of the police state surveillance Patriot Act.
We were against it before we were for it. A ton of material today coming at me is constantly throwing an old article from Caitlin Johnstone in my imagination. For the newer/ish members of the group, and we have had a rather decent jump in membership over the past couple of weeks, which I'll get to this weekend sometime, I offer this.
