I am so sick of the cess pool in the house, Senate. and Whitehouse. I seem to recall hearing about this before. unless the report is referring to a more recent bribe through Mcdonnell's wife. I don't know how to make a difference, except by sending the small amount I can to those runnung in house and senate that refuse big interest money. That seems like the only thing that will help. The Democrat in district I work in is on the list of 15 worst Dems taking money and. voting to in favor of his donors. Of course I live in a Trump area where I frequently see puck up trucks with TRUMP 2016 bumper stickers and 5 ft tall flags on the right and left of the truck bed with huge American flags.

Those of us who thought we were donating to Bernie Sanders came to find out our money went to Clinton! Sure, Sanders was spending money on his campaign of course, but when all was said and done, the end game went to Clinton. While the party was rigging the election for Clinton! Why else would you think I call Sanders a con now? Then the DNC's lawyers argued in court when Sanders supporters filed against the DNC that the DNC wasn't held responsible to run a fair election and have the right to choose their candidate.
The candidates are merely cash cows to and for the party to run their elections at their will. They essentially choose the candidate they want and little we do with our choices has an effect unless there's an overwhelming sense of support. That's rare because the media they own spin or corrupt a perception to help manage the voters. And you can be sure if the candidate you might be lucky enough to get seated, he/she will become a grunt for the party and or be marginalized. Can I get a AOC? Add any name of the gang of 4 here. They all became both! We don't hear shit about any of them today except AOC on a marginalized basis. Their 15 minutes of fame is over until they find a need to use them as a distraction again in the future.
Pick a 3rd party candidate to support! Green or SEP
By the way. I did a post about McConnell a few months ago. He is a corrupt as they come and even those in his district know it. The system is rigged to keep him in power. A lot of idiots in his district who will vote for him and the republicans purge the system for him. It's Kentucky! His wife being such also has the power of the deep state behind her of course. You can't beat these 2 and they'll be there as long as they want to be there unless the citizenry wises up and exodus the 2 party establishment. Her time ends when the administration ends or someone finally comes up with some serious dirt on her forcing her resignation.

I wasn't talking about party. I am talking about electing people not bribed. There are a few that were elected 2018. Both parties take money and vote accordingly based on who they are beholden to. Not the American people.
But I get it. I give to my community much more
I don't send more than 5 or 10 bucks, but to shift my contribution by just volunteering locally.
