Did anyone catch the opening of the senate impeachment hearing yesterday? McConnell's opening statement was perfectly matched with a scripted written reply by Schumer. I wonder how much speech writers are paid for the deceptive manipulation in which most of the population takes at heart for this perception management.

Otherwise how could they perfectly match their deceptive points? Which really points to the fact that the impeachment is yet another dog & pony show full of smoke, mirrors and illusion which will not result in real benefit to the American people let alone world humanity.

As my comment did not result in my getting double points for being the first responder, and only 3 others have viewed your post, 2 of whom have not blocked me, I must presume that the citizen of "W. Bubble Fuck, USA" must have put something in. Did it contribute to the discussion @William_Mary or was it simply the contribution of a point whore?
I believe opening statements were submitted to both sides ahead of time and edited accordingly to address particular issues...

Clearly I did not watch anything but are you both writing that the two sides are co-operating so that nothing but doubt can be sown into the public's mind. If that is so Trump triumphs as the impeachment just looks like petty squabbling.

From outside I cannot but wonder if the whole thing is a red herring. 9 months time the whole election will be over and Trump will be organising a huge celebration. This impeachment process could easily be dragged on past November. Besides which surely there have been much worse things done by Trump than trying to get dirt on Biden. Dirt flinging seems to be the way to win just like school boys of old.
