Will Pharmaceutical Companies Ever Be Punished for the Opioid Crisis?
I'm reluctant to post this. I have a major issue with the misleading nature of the opiate crisis being perpetrated onto society. Don't get me wrong! I totally get the pill farming aspect that generate these companies profits. And the addicts this can cause. I also lived through a relationship for the better part of 5 years with a partner that abused her medications. Diagnosed as bipolar, suffering from fibromyalgia, depression, maybe 1 or 2 other things, I watched her play 2 doctors at a time for most of that period for medications. I watched her eat a months worth of pills in less than 2 weeks most times. That's a months worth from 2 doctors remind you. Essentially 2 months worth of pills. But the real issue that isn't being addressed is heroine! And that's really not the real issue either. It's the fentanyl that is being mixed in it today. Now there's reports it's being added to cocaine and crack. What's next, smoking it in weed? We have a substance out there in which a few grains the size of salt can take you out, dead! Maybe when some nice professional type pot heads start turning up dead because their source got some weed laced with fentanyl, they'll get to the real problem. Our national, state, and local governments with the help of the media keep bitching about fucking pain pills!?! The god dam pain pill problem only needs a god dam good computer system put to use to take a sizable control of that problem! Feel free to fill me in on what I'm missing here! Anyone!
